Information about the Reverse IP Domain Checker tool!
Reverse IP Domain Checker is an SEO tool with which we can check if a web domain name has a PTR record for the reverse redirection of its IP. A PTR record is a very important part of optimizing our website as it allows our web domain to respond to the assigned public IP address.
On computer networks, a reverse DNS lookup or reverse DNS resolution (rDNS) is the Domain Name System (DNS) query technique to determine the domain name associated with an IP address, the reverse of the Usual "forward" DNS lookup of an IP Address for a domain name. The reverse resolution process of an IP address uses PTR records. rDNS involves searching the registry for domain names and registrar tables. This can be used to try to identify the originator's domain name to track, for example: spam sending spam emails or the domain name of a computer trying to break into a firewall or someone trying to hack into the system. It can also be used to determine the name of the Internet service provider assigned to a particular IP address. The reverse DNS Internet database is rooted in the top level domain.
Although informational RFC 1912 (Section 2.1) recommends that "each host accessible to the Internet should have a name" and that "for each IP address, there must be a matching PTR record;, it is not a standard Internet requirement, and not all IP addresses have a reverse entry.
